OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES
The Indiana Moving Water Series (IMWS) is dedicated to competitive integrity and angler safety. All participants are required to read and understand the following regulations prior to entry.
I. PARTICIPATION & ELIGIBILITY
Participation is open to all anglers 18 years of age or older. Minors may compete with a signed parental consent form. All contestants must possess a valid Indiana fishing license for the waters being fished. All tournaments are human-powered kayak fishing only; no gas motors are allowed.
II. MEASURING STANDARDS
All fish must be measured on an approved metal Ketch board (Ketch X, Karbonate, or Original). The 12-inch minimum rule applies to all series events. Fish must be photographed on the left side, mouth closed and touching the fence, with the tail flat. The unique event identifier must be clearly visible in every photo.
III. SCORING & TOURNEYX
Calculations are based on the Catch, Photo, Release (CPR) format. Scoring is managed exclusively through the TourneyX platform. Anglers are responsible for their own wireless data connection. In the event of a tie, the angler with the single largest fish break the tie. Decisions made by the Tournament Director are final.
IV. SAFETY & WATER BOUNDARIES
A USCG-approved PFD must be worn at all times while on the water. Tournament boundaries include Indiana public moving waters (rivers and creeks) as specified in the event itinerary. No portaging over private land is permitted. Violation of safety rules or boundaries will result in immediate disqualification.
WAIVER & LIABILITY
Participation in the Indiana Moving Water Series requires all anglers to acknowledge and sign our digital release of liability waiver. This document covers tournament safety protocols, environmental stewardship, and media release for the current season.
Failure to submit a signed waiver prior to the tournament start time will result in disqualification. Please ensure all fields including emergency contact information are completed accurately.
